2010 St. Louis Business of the Year

XIOLINK was recently honored as one of only seven local area businesses to receive the 2010 St. Louis Business of the Year Award. Mayor Francis G. Slay and the St. Louis Development Corporation (SLDC) presented the City’s annual business awards on Friday, October 15, at the 2010 City of St. Louis Business Celebration Luncheon.

“This recognition reflects our commitment to advancing information technology while supporting the City’s economic growth,” says Brad Pittenger, chief executive officer of XIOLINK.  “XIOLINK is proud to be a contributing member of the Downtown business district, and we look forward to celebrating the many new developments on the horizon.”
XIOLINK was recognized for its outstanding leadership as a catalyst that promotes economic development in the City of St. Louis. Factors for consideration include projects that brought new services to underserved areas, catalytic investment in pioneering areas, contributions to the diversity of the business community. The City of St. Louis Business Celebration Luncheon began in 2002 as a way to thank the business community for its commitment to the City. Over 500 guests attended the luncheon, which was held at the Renaissance Grand Hotel.

“In the past nine months, construction commenced on more than half a billion dollars in new development in Downtown St. Louis. That’s impressive in any type of economic climate – and in a recession, it’s incredible,” says Mayor Slay. “All of this activity is no accident. It’s the product of partnerships we have built over the past decade that have risen to the challenge of the recession and kept working together to move our City forward.”

XIOLINK recently relocated its headquarters from Walnut Street to 1111 Olive Boulevard – a historic building in downtown St. Louis. This expansion created over 600 new jobs in the areas of planning and construction. It has scheduled an official ribbon cutting ceremony on Wednesday, November 10, 2010 to commemorate the relocation.

XIOLINK is proud to continue to invest in the downtown St. Louis community, supporting the City’s emergence as a legitimate data hub. The company credits the City’s ample supply of electricity and large fiber network for attracting and retaining various IT businesses.
